If She Could Collaborate With One Person, It’d be Daniel Kaluuya
When asked who the one person she’d like to collaborate with was, Adele was quick to answer Daniel Kaluuya. Kaluuya, who’s best known for his roles in Queen and Slim and Black Panther, was in attendance at The London Palladium performance and looked visibly shocked as Adele explained that she thinks he’s an amazing actor (hear, hear), saying, “I just want to watch you work, I think I’d learn a lot.”
Adele has a framed piece of gum chewed by Celine Dion.
You know what? If I found out any non-famous fan of anyone had a piece of chewing gum framed in their house, I would find that… disturbing. But somehow, when its Adele, its endearing.
After being asked about her “proudest possession”, Adele led the camera to her piece of prized memorabilia.
“Its pretty amazing,” she said as she handed over a picture frame containing a piece of gum chewed by one of Adeles heroes, Celine Dion.

“James Corden, whos a friend of mine, but also does Carpool Karaoke, which I did, he did it with her and knew how much a fan of her I was,” she explained. “So he made her spit her gum into a piece of paper and he framed it for me!”
Also, on Celine Dion, Adele said My Heart Will Go On was the song that wasnt her own that shes sung the most in her life.
Dame Emma Thompson Stole the Show
Dame Emma Thompson is, quite frankly, a national treasure and that was no different in An Audience With Adele. Not only did she throw her entire body into dancing to every song, like a woman after our own hearts, but she also asked the most emotional question of the night. “Under that beautiful dress, are you wearing any socks?” We’re kidding! Though she did ask that question (and Adele lamented that her stockings had fallen down and were baggy in the crotch), the most heartwarming question of the night was easily: “When you were younger, was there anyone who inspired you, protected you from all the trials and tribulations of the world?”
Adele answered immediately that it was her English teacher, Ms McDonald, who really inspired her and changed her life. “She taught English, but she also taught street dancing,” said Adele. “She was so bloody cool, engaging, and she really made us care and made us feel like she really cared. She was so likeable and relatable, and actually made me like her.” The next thing we knew, Ms McDonald was being ushered up on stage, causing everyone watching at home to simultaneously to burst into sobs.
She doesn’t love being ~famous~.
This isnt a huge surprise, as its been a common theme in a number of Adele interviews and part of the reason she took such a large, reclusive break between albums, but its interesting all the same.

Adele said she “doesnt love” being recognised in public, which has to suck when you are genuinely one of the most recognisable people in the world.
She explained it in a typically funny, typically Adele way: “Ever since 21 came out, my hair gets bigger, my makeup gets thicker and my dresses get bigger so that I practically look like a bald eagle or something in my day-to-day life.” ADVERTISEMENT
