Example: “In my last position, I had a client who was upset about his investment portfolio because it wasn’t performing as well as he expected. We talked for over an hour about different strategies that could help him achieve his goals. He ended up deciding to change some of his investments, which led to better performance in the long term. This situation taught me that sometimes clients need more time to understand their financial situations before making decisions.”
Example: “At my last job, I had a colleague who was working on improving their customer service skills. They were always friendly with customers but wanted to be able to answer questions more thoroughly. I offered to train them in one-on-one sessions where we could practice answering common customer questions. After several training sessions, they felt more confident answering questions and even started helping other team members with customer issues.”
Example: “I know that Ameriprise Financial is one of the largest financial services companies in the country. I’m excited to work for such a successful organization because I know I’ll be able to learn so much from my colleagues. I also know that you have a reputation for being a leader in the industry when it comes to customer service. I think that’s really important, especially since I want to help people achieve their financial goals.”
Example: “An annuity is an investment vehicle that provides regular payments at a later date. There are two types of annuities—immediate and deferred. With immediate annuities, you receive payments right away, while with deferred annuities, you receive payments after a set period of time. I’ve used both types of annuities in my previous roles, and I find that deferred annuities are more beneficial because they allow investors to earn interest on their money.”
